Major Cricket League 2024: Teams, Schedule and Stats | MLC 2024: Major League Cricket is coming back for its second season next summer, starting on the Fourth of July, America’s birthday. The tournament will run until early August, but the exact dates will be announced later.
Justin Geale, who organizes the tournament, says the first season was a big success, so they’re hoping for an even better one in 2024. They expect more top players to join, making it an exciting summer for cricket fans, especially with the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup happening too.
All six teams from the first season will play again in 2024. Games will be held at Grand Prairie Stadium in Texas and some other places which they’ll tell us about later.
Last year’s season was a big deal for cricket in America. It was the first time they had a major domestic T20 tournament with top players from around the world. Lots of people came to watch, especially in Texas and North Carolina. MI New York won the first season by beating the Seattle Orcas in the final.
New Teams in MLC 2024?
MLC started with six teams, all owned by ACE. Each team has investor-operators who have put money into the company. In the future, the league wants to grow by adding four more teams.
Iain Higgins, the CEO of USA Cricket, says cricket is popular in cities like Atlanta, Chicago, Los Angeles, New Jersey, New York, and San Francisco. But for its first season, MLC chose teams in Dallas, Los Angeles, New York, San Francisco, Seattle, and Washington, D.C.
MLC 2024 Teams
All six teams that played in MLC’s first season will be back in 2024. They’ll still play matches at Grand Prairie Stadium in Grand Prairie, TX, which will be a big part of the cricket excitement. Also, the league wants to reach more places by hosting games at other venues, but they haven’t told us where yet.

MLC 2024 Schedule
In December 2023, MLC officials announced that the second season of the tournament would start on July 4, 2024. That’s just four days after the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup ends. But the officials haven’t told us yet when the matches for the 2024 MLC will be. They’ll let us know as soon as they figure it out.

COGNIZANT Named as MLC 2024 Title Partner
Major League Cricket (MLC) and Cognizant (Nasdaq: CTSH) have announced a big deal today. Cognizant will be the first-ever title sponsor of America’s only top-tier professional cricket championship.
Cognizant Major League Cricket is coming back for its second season this summer, starting on July 4th. It will feature some of the best cricket players from around the world playing intense T20 matches in the United States.
Vijay Srinivasan, one of the founders of Major League Cricket, is really excited about this partnership. He thinks it will help MLC and cricket in America grow even more.
Cognizant’s CEO, Ravi Kumar S, is also thrilled about the partnership. He says they want to support MLC’s vision and inspire more people to play cricket, especially those who haven’t had many opportunities in the past.
