The countdown to the ICC Cricket World Cup 2023 has officially begun! This flagship event held every four years will be hosted by India starting October 5th. The opening match between England and New Zealand will take place at the spectacular Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad.
As per ICC regulations, all participating nations must submit their 15-member preliminary squads one month before the tournament’s commencement. The deadline was September 5th, 2023. Any squad changes after this date require special permission from the ICC.
So far, India, Australia, England, and South Africa have announced their final World Cup squads. The remaining teams are expected to follow suit soon. The BCCI named India’s squad at 1:30 PM IST on September 5th.
