Nepal and Tanzania, Japan, Hong Kong Women’s T20I Series, Squad and Live Streaming: The Hong Kong Cricket Association is set to host an exciting new T20I series for women’s cricket teams in November 2023. The ‘Hong Kong Women’s T20I Series’ will feature 4 national teams – Hong Kong, Japan, Nepal and Tanzania.
The tournament is scheduled from November 15th to November 19th, 2023 at the picturesque Hong Kong Cricket Club in Hong Kong. This iconic cricket ground, overlooked by skyscrapers and mountains, will provide a scenic backdrop for the matches.
The Hong Kong Women’s T20I Series will consist of a round-robin format, with each team playing the other three sides once. This ensures all teams play equal number of matches.
After the round-robin stage, the top two teams will progress to the final to be held on November 19th. The remaining teams will play in a third-place playoff on the same day.
Based on the latest ICC T20I rankings, Tanzania are the highest ranked team coming into the tournament at 19th position. Nepal are close behind at 21st. Hosts Hong Kong are ranked 22nd, while Japan are the lowest ranked team at 51st. This indicates an open tournament with no clear favorite.
