The American Premier League (APL) is back for its second year, with the action kicking off on December 19th at the Moosa Cricket Stadium in Texas. This domestic Twenty20 competition features 7 franchises across North America competing for the championship title.

Some high-profile names feature among the team rosters. Premium Windies boasts the services of Universe Boss Chris Gayle, who also takes over the captaincy.
All-rounder Dan Lawrence will lead Premium Americans while Pakistani left-arm quick Sohail Tanvir skippers Premium Paks.
Other notable players include Rahkeem Cornwall, who topped the runs chart last season, and leading 2020 wicket-taker Mario Lobban. Their exploits will be crucial in their respective teams’ title ambitions.
The tournament also continues to serve as an excellent platform for Associate players from Canada and Afghanistan to shine.
Players like Ihsanullah Janat, Ben Cutting and Navneet Dhaliwal will hope to make a name for themselves on the North American stage.
With the expansion, ICC backing and star power across the competition, the American Premier League’s second edition promises to be bigger and better.
