Copa America 2024 logo unveiled by Conmebol – Is it inspired by American culture?: The Copa America governing body CONMEBOL has released the official logo of Copa America 2024, hosted by the United States of America.
Fans all around the globe have been waiting for updates on the 2024 Copa America. The tournament is usually hosted by South American countries with occasional invitees from other continents.
However, The 48th edition of the quadrennial tournament is being hosted by the USA which is being seen as a precursor to the FIFA World Cup 2026 which is being jointly hosted by USA, Canada, and Mexico.
Copa America 2024 is part of a “strategic agreement” between South American football federation Conmebol and its North American counterpart Concacaf.

Being the governing body of 2024 Copa America, Conmebol unveiled the Logo for the mega event. The association announced the update on Twitter and the official website of Copa America.
The logo colors and patterns are inspired by North American culture and represent the United States. The color combination of Blue, red, and white, and the stars are taken from the host nation’s flag.
The center part of the logo is shaped like a ball that represents the iconic Copa America Trophy.
Copa America 2024 Teams and Squads
The 10 member nations including defending champions Argentina have automatically qualified the member nations. While the host association Concacaf has been given 6 team slots.
North American football teams are playing 2023–24 CONCACAF Nations League A for the 6 slots. The complete team’s list will be disclosed later after the completion of the Nations League.
The Copa America tournament will commence on June 20, 2024, and the final will be played on July 14.

The United States — which hosted Copa America in 2016 — is also hosting the 2026 World Cup alongside Mexico and Canada.
Copa America 2024 Venue and Host Country
In a recent official announcement, it has been confirmed that the host country for the Copa America 2024 edition will be the United States of America. This decision came after Ecuador, which was initially chosen as the host, decided not to proceed with the tournament.

A significant and historic development for the Copa America is that, for the first time ever, CONCACAF countries will have the opportunity to qualify for the tournament through the 2023/24 Concacaf Nations League.

With the change in the host country, the Copa America 2024 will now feature twelve teams from South America, including ten from CONMEBOL and two invited teams, along with six teams from CONCACAF.
